Hi, I'm Claudio.
I'm a Mexican software engineer building a computer to measure my emotions in real-time.
I believe there is an enormous gap in the technology used by doctors, psychiatrists, and therapists to efficiently treat emotional disorders. There is no easy way to obtain biological evidence of a patient's emotional state.
And I want to help create accessible, non-invasive devices that allow us to see our emotions as easily as we can see our heart rates.
I believe this technology will allow us to collaborate and define a set of health parameters for what we deem "healthy" and "unhealthy" levels of emotional states.
I dedicate this journal to everyone struggling with deeply uncomfortable emotional states.
My hope is that this technology will help us live a better life with a deeper understanding of what we feel, why we feel what we feel, and as a result live life in more peaceful and joyful emotional states.
It's 8PM. And I sketched a plan to record the movie-watching experiment in my NextJS app. I spent the last few hours building a UI that records videos with my video camera and generates an mp4 file. This is the 1st of 3 biometric inputs.
The next biometric input will be capturing my heart rate monitor using the Web's Bluetooth API and saving heart rate sessions.
