Today I played with the OpenBCI biosensor for the first time. I setup my Ganglion board with all the sensors. I charged the battery for like 2 hours? And I did my best to wear the sensors to capture my EEG.
I did see some EEG and recorded my first test!
The EEG sensor "quality" was poor (orange/yellow/red). I wasn't able to get the lights to turn green.
I'll continue looking into it tomorrow.
I do have to say: wearing an EEG in the current state of the technology is TERRIBLE. The OpenBCI software is very confusing and hard to use. Connecting the pins to the Ganglion is straightforward, but I learned only by watching a YouTube video.
What I found the most frustrating was all the cables. How can I "simulate" a real-world environment and feel things I would under normal circumstances with 4 cables hanging over my head??
This technology is very promising and super exciting. And I look forward to get a basic project setup and then, little by little, start tinkering and improving this technology.
No wires please! And a nice non-medical-grade user interface!
