I'm in Mexico right now. At my hometown to renew my Visa.

Didn't bring my EEG so haven't had a chance to fix the last few bugs and test the video-recording UI. But looking forward to do that when I'm back in NY.

The one thing that is constantly on my mind as I work remotely is: How can I be a better engineer? How can I move faster? How can I learn from my mistakes and not repeat them? What are the mistakes I do every day?

I work with an incredible team of engineers at Opus. I look up to them to see how I can do things more efficiently, faster, and with as little code as possible.

It's hard. I'm the most junior engineer in my team. And I look forward to go to work every day because I love working with my co-workers and also because I look forward to be better than the previous day, do things faster, and take on larger and more complex projects.

And along those lines of continuous self improvement, I saw this YouTube video posted by Sequoia Capital on May 8th interviewing Bret Taylor and his opinion on how software business models will change in the next 5 years.

Who is Bret Taylor? Bret is a software engineer (although he's done a hole lot more than just software engineering in his career). He's a Stanford grad who started his career working on Google Maps. Later, he co-founded Quip, was CTO of Facebook, Co-CEO of Salesforce, and currently Co-Founder of Sierra.

What is Sierra? Sierra is a company that helps businesses build better customer experiences with AI.

The core belief that Bret holds (which led to the creation of Sierra) is that "every company's main digital interface will be an AI agent" (5:55 - 6:05)
